Brass and Steam

I know this is completely random for my account, but I recently (with the help of my terribly talented roommates) crafted this steampunk gun for a renn fair this summer.

We modified a nerf gun with multiple coats of paint, some dirtying up with acrylics, and a few misc. parts from an antique shop.

It was my first time making something like this, and there was a limited time window. There are lots of things I might end up adding, but for now I'm proud of the finished product.

I'll probably be posting a little painting tutorial if you guys are interested.

I just love steampunk as a style, and I want to get into making some more props for a steampunk themed photoshoot. So hopefully that can happen soon.
