July 8th, 2017Well hello there! It's been around 7 years since my last journal entry. So let's talk.
-1-
It's been a long time. But I want to make a concerted effort to come back to this site. I went to college, graduated college, moved to a new city, got my first job, then my second, third, and fourth. I moved in with my boyfriend, made friends, lost friends, worked on novels, produced a webseries, and haven't had much free time in those last seven years. It's been awesome. But as I work more and more on my own painting I remember how awesome the stock photography community was, and I'd love to contribute to it again.
-2-
So will I post stock again? Ideally, YES! I'd love to take a new wave of photos to share, particularly things geared towards painters and artist's who need reference material!
-3-What's with the watermarks?Eleven years ago when I joined DA there was nothing like this on the site. It was pretty much the wild west in terms of photography rights. I think this addition is awesome! People work hard on stock photography and it's so amazing that they can get something back for all their contributions to the community. Are they a bit annoying? Yeah, I can see that. But I will promise you that A. the majority of my stock will remain watermark free, B. when new stock is posted it will be available watermark free for at least a week before being protected, & C. my stock will never cost more than 100 points ($1.00). Most of my pieces have been up and free use for a decade, and I'm really happy to be able to give official rights to those who want them.
-4-What's with the paintings?I paint now! I mean, I always did, but I think now it's actually pretty okay. So I'll be uploading some of my work from time to time. Why am I not using a separate art account? Because Persephonestock is my home. I've had multiple accounts in the past and they always felt hollow. I am choosing to interact with the community from one face.
Thanks so much for your continued support and love!
OH! And did I mention I finally got to hang out with
faestock and
mrcup (with IRL friend
intergalacticstock) in real life at VidCon2012? They're truly amazing!
